Importing a new dictionary will override all existing entries. Words that were part of your dictionary but are not present in the uploaded file will be deleted. Therefore, it is important to download the existing dictionary and add new words to the list before uploading the edited file again.
To download your current dictionary, first visit the Editor and go to "Settings" → "Team Dictionary" and click on “Import dictionary” in the top-right corner.
In the presented popup, click on "Download existing dictionary" button to export your entire dictionary as a CSV file. You can now edit this file as you like and then import it back into LanguageTool afterwards.

Now head back to LanguageTool and select the newly created file for upload.
